Big problems

To the editor,

Here is some information that made news in the last week. Gang rape and brutal beating to a 15 year old girl in California.

People should look at this with a very serious nature. This and other wrongful actions should be dealt with immediately today not tomorrow.

We have a number of serious problems that are avoided, when you avoid a problem you make the problem get bigger.

People say what can I do, a person can get more involved and stop some of these problems. Every person has a moral responsibility to help thy neighbor. There is no distance between neighbors.

There was a teenage girl who spoke up about this problem and she should be praised for the bravery she showed to her friend (neighbor).

Somali women beaten for violating Islamic law. Officials say militants are beating women who are not wearing socks and not wearing head scarfs. How stupid can a law be for action to such actions?

Teenage murders in Chicago, Illinois. What has to happen to make people unite and fight for justice?

Children and women are starving and not given medical help in foreign countries. These countries are given aid but yet the officials are not fulfilling their moral duties. UN and other countries should take action, they talk but do not act (moral).

The above statements have reference to our neighbors. The people of this world better take action before it is too late. There is a moral and religious obligation to love thy neighbor.

I hope people will wake up and take action before it is too late. We worry about outer space. We better worry and take action about inner space.

Our biggest problem is our leaders.

Signed, Paul H. (Doc) DuBois, Cobden
