Choate Center activities being planned this fall

Choate Mental Health and Developmental Center in Anna is planning a 140th anniversary celebration and Pumpkin Patch 2009 display this fall.

Area businesses, organizations and churches are invited to promote themselves with a display at the event.

In addition to Pumpkin Patch displays like last year, Choate plans to have some new activities for ColorFest weekend in October.

Activities are scheduled to include "Paranormal Passage" history tours, a museum, food vendors, children's activities and more.

Pumpkins, straw and mums will be provided for use in the displays.
