Edith Mae Foster Miller

Edith Mae Foster Miller, 78, of Thebes, died at 12:25 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born on Dec. 11, 1931, in Olive Branch, the daughter of Henry and Effie Twente Foster.

She married Robert Clifford (R.C.) Miller on Dec. 12, 1949. He preceded her in death on April 12, 2008.

She was a lifelong member of the Trinity Assembly of God Church in Olive Branch. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include four sons, Rodney (Jean) Miller of Benton, Mo., James (Jeri) Miller of Tamms, the Rev. Carl D. (Mary) Miller of Black Mountain, N.C., and Sidney J. (Cora) Miller of Olive Branch; one daughter, Lea Ann (James) Bledsoe of Olive Branch; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Allen (Juanita) Foster and Harold (Sharon) Foster, all of Olive Branch, and John (Marilyn) Foster of Farmville, Va.; one sister, Minnie (Charles) McCoy of Olive Branch; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; an infant son, Dale Lee Miller; and two sisters, Margaret Browning and Nellie Masterson.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 17, at Trinity Assembly of God Church in Olive Branch with the Rev. John Fuller, the Rev. Carl D. Miller and the Rev. Steve Clardy officiating. Interment was in Olive Branch Cemetery.

Crain Funeral Home in Tamms was in charge of arrangements.
