Exercise class for seniors set to begin in December
<p class="p1"><span class="s1">The Union County Hospital Senior Circle chapter and Fitness Forum Gym in Anna are working as partners to offer an exercise class which is geared towards the senior population and any individual with joint and/or muscle problems. </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">The class is designed to provide a community based, non-clinical exercise program.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">The program’s format will include easy joint movement activities, strengthening and relaxation techniques to help improve joint mobility, muscle strength and endurance. </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Classes are anticipated to start in December and are planned on Tuesday and Thursday from 10:15 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Fitness Forum Gym, which is located at 131 W. Chestnut St. in Anna.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">The class is $20 per month for Union County Hospital Senior Circle members. It is free to members of Fitness Forum. </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">State retirees with the Silver Sneakers Program can attend classes for free after they complete the required forms. </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Any non-members of the Senior Circle program or of Fitness Forum can attend for $25 per month. </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Pre-registration is required for anyone who wants to attend. </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">For more information or to register, call Mary Nash-Swink, Union County Hospital’s director of Marketing, at 833-4511, extension 4359.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Senior Circle is a non-profit organization which works to improve the lives of people 50 and older. </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Membership includes fellowship and activities, hospital benefits, health education, parties, travel, local and national discounts, and much more for $15 a year.</span></p>
