Fred and Linda Clutts married 50 years
Fred Clutts and Linda Eaves were married on Aug. 7, 1959, at Makanda Baptist Church by the late Rev. Clifford Pribble.
Freddie Clutts worked as a construction laborer and is now retired.
The couple operates a rental business south of Carbondale and reside at 8 Clutts Rd., Makanda.
The couple have four sons, Kenneth (Kim), Benjamin, Tom (Natalie), all of Makanda, and Arthur (now deceased); grandchildren Christopher, Jonathon, Kasey (Clutts) and Amber Hendrickson; and one great-grandchild, Skyler.
Mr. and Mrs. Freddie Clutts of Makanda will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9, with a picnic lunch starting at 1 o’clock.
A music jam session, washers and games are planned at the Southern Illinois Christian Campground south of Carbondale. Signs will be posted.
Family and friends are invited. The couple requests no gifts.
