Harry Dale Bailey

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family:">Harry Dale Bailey, age 76 of rural Neoga passed away at 6:06 p.m. Wednesday, October 6, 2010 in Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center of Coles County.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family:"><span style="">           </span> Dale was born July 19, 1934 in Pope County the son of Harry Sherman and Irene (Conley) Bailey.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family:"><span style="">           </span> Dale retired from the engineering and service department of Blaw Knox Equipment Company of Mattoon. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1962. Dale was a member of Ware Baptist Church in Ware, Mattoon Masonic Lodge 260 A.F. and A.M., American Legion Post 88, and Legion Riders all of Mattoon.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family:"><span style="">           </span> Dale married Mary Ada Johnson on June 8, 1962 in Ware and she passed away June 26, 1997.<span style=""> </span> He later married Marleen Lawhorn September 3, 2005 in Shelby County.<span style="">           </span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family:"><span style="">           </span> Dale is survived by his wife, Marleen Bailey of rural Neoga; one son, Dale Duane Bailey and wife, Shelley of Cincinnati; two daughters, Carolyn Tripp and husband, Tom of Anna, and Theresa McCracken and husband, Rusty of Austin, Texas; two stepdaughters, Diana Lawhorn of Mattoon and Kimberly Thompson and husband, David of Charleston; one step grandson, Hunter Thompson of Charleston; five grandchildren, Heather Reynolds and husband, Dickie and Hillary Tripp all of Anna, Sean McCracken of Austin, Texas, Tamara and Samantha McCracken, both of Bradford; and five great-grandchildren. Dale was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 12pt; font-family:"><span style="">           </span> Graveside services for Harry Dale Bailey will be Saturday, November 6, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at the Jonesboro Cemetery with Rev. Tony Foeller officiating. Military Rites will be held by Anna VFW Post 3455. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. <span style="">           </span></span></p>
