A Southern Illinois Hummingbird Festival is planned Saturday, Aug. 5, at the Trail of Tears State Forest in Union County. The event is planned from 9 a.m. to noon.

Retired botanist John Schwegman will present Hummingbirds of the World on Saturday, June 18, at 1 p.m. at the Fort Massac State Park Visitors Center, 1308 East 5th Street. The event is free and open to the public. All ages are welcome.
