A-J wrestlers compete at state

Anna-Jonesboro Community High School’s Mike Dillman and Andrew Adams were each eliminated in first-round action of the Class 1A State Wrestling Tournment at Champaign Thursday, Feb. 16.

Dillman, who finished his prep career with a 33-7 overall record, was pinned in the 285-pound class by Gibson City’s Melvin Sibley in 3:42.

Adams, who advanced from the Robinson Sectional in the 113-pound class as an alternate, was pinned by Warsaw’s Jack Lucie in 1:41.
