Jack Keil
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Jack Baggott Keil, age 67, of Dongola, died at 5:00AM, at Union County Hospital in Anna.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 14pt;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 14pt;">He was born Dec. 25, 1942 at Elmhurst, IL, the son of Donald Howell and Frances Baggott Keil.<span style=""> </span> He was married on Oct. 31, 1960 to Patricia Fritz.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 14pt;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 14pt;">He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Dongola and attended the Lutheran Church in St. Croix.<span style=""> </span> He had been a boy scout leader in Dongola, was a member of Dongola Lodge 581 AF & AM,<span style=""> </span> and the Carroll P. Foster Post 3455 men’s auxiliary.<span style=""> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 14pt;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Jack was a deputy with the Union County Sheriff’s Department and a bailiff at Union County Courthouse.<span style=""> </span> He had been an auto salesman at A-J Motors, owner and operator of Dongola Cycle Sales, and a truck driver for Florsheim.<span style=""> </span> An auto mechanic, he taught his trade at Vienna Correctional Center as well as having worked at Bishop-Davis Ford in Anna, Vogler Ford in Carbondale, and Packy-Webb Ford in Wheaton.<span style=""> </span> He started working at age 12 at Elmhurst Hospital.<span style=""> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 14pt;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 14pt;">An avid pilot since 1976, Jack had his own air strip on the family property north of Dongola, where he loved moving dirt and mowing.<span style=""> </span> He was in the Cairo Flying Club, loved riding his Harley and scuba diving, and loved St. Croix, where he was in the Mardi Croix Krew. <span style=""> </span>Jack Keil never met a stranger.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 14pt;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Survivors include his wife, Patricia of Dongola; 5 daughters, Pam Keil of Orlando, FL, Becki (Mark) Dillman of Jonesboro, Jenni (Robert) Gordley of Kuna, Idaho, Byndi (Bradley) Jerolds of Anna, Amy (Terry) Seals of Bush; 10 grandchildren, Tyler, Jordan, Keiler, Bry, Mariah, Jack, Katy, Colton, Conner, and Teren; 1 sister, Donna (Allen) Searles of Lake Geneva, WI; a niece, Pammi Searles of Anna; other relatives and many friends.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 14pt;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Visitation will be after 4:00 PM Monday and from 8:00 am until service time Tuesday at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola, with honor guard by local law enforcement.<span style=""> </span> Masonic services will be at 8:00 pm Monday at the funeral home by Dongola Lodge 581 AF & AM.<span style=""> </span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Funeral services for Jack Baggott Keil will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday, Nov. 9 at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola with Rev. Tim Heinecke officiating.<span style=""> </span> Interment will be in Anna Cemetery with honors by Carroll P. Foster Post 3455.<span style=""> </span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Memorials may be made to the Dongola Lodge 581 AF&AM or the First Lutheran Church of Dongola and will be accepted at the funeral home.</span></p>
