James Donald Simmons

<p style="line-height: 150%;" class="MsoNormal"><strong style=""><span style="font-size: 14pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Cambria;">Mr. James Donald Simmons, age 71, of Anna, died at 11:20 p.m. Sunday, November 27, 2011 at the Illinois Veteran’s Home in Anna. He was born December 7, 1939 in Indianapolis, IN, the son of Donald and Charlean Pryor Simmons. He married Carol E. Sears on March 31, 1968 in Bedford, IN.</span></strong></p>

<p style="line-height: 150%;" class="MsoNormal"><strong style=""><span style="font-size: 14pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Cambria;"><span style="">        </span> James is survived by his wife, Carol Simmons of Anna; two sons, Douglas (Letitia) Simmons of Anna and Eric (Kim) Simmons of Greenfield, TN; four grandchildren, Jonah and Joshua Simmons, Clif Bryan and Becki Larson; two great grandchildren, Jenna Holshouser and Andrew Larson; one sister, Carol Lynn Simmons of Indianapolis, IN; other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.</span></strong></p>

<p style="line-height: 150%;" class="MsoNormal"><strong style=""><span style="font-size: 14pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Cambria;"><span style="">        </span> James worked for the Southern Illinois University Press as an editorial director for many years. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1964 to 1966.</span></strong></p>

<p style="line-height: 150%;" class="MsoNormal"><strong style=""><span style="font-size: 14pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Cambria;"><span style="">        </span> Graveside funeral services for Mr. James Donald Simmons will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at the Anna City Cemetery. Interment will be in the Anna City Cemetery. Friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by the Carroll P. Foster Post #3455 of the V.F.W. in Anna and the Illinois National Guard Funeral Honors team in Marion. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice. Envelopes will be available at the cemetery and at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.</span></strong></p>
