James Woodrow “Jim” Eaves
<p style="line-height: 150%;" class="MsoNormalCxSpFirst"><strong style=""><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 150%;">Mr. James Woodrow “Jim” Eaves, age 75 of Lick Creek, died at 9:58 pm, Monday, November 15, 2010 at the Union County Hospital in Anna. He was born January 26, 1935 in Anna, the son of Woodrow Clifton and Jennie Cunningham Eaves. He married Faye Marie Haire on October 2, 1953 in Anna.</span></strong></p>
<p style="text-indent: 0.5in; line-height: 150%;" class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle"><strong style=""><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 150%;">Jim is survived by his wife, Faye Eaves of Lick Creek; 2 children, Jo Ellen (Steven) Rich of Marion, IL and James David (Kathy) Eaves of Anna; 1 brother, Garry Joel (Deanna) Eaves of Aurora, IL; 4 grandchildren, Steven Matthew (Rebecca) Rich, Jennie Jo Rich, Jaime (Daniel) Welborn, and Janna (Karl) Sweitzer; 1 great-grandchild, Brynley Anne Welborn; other relatives and many friends.<span style=""> </span> He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 sister, Shirley Berkman; and 1 brother, John Egolff.</span></strong></p>
<p style="text-indent: 0.5in; line-height: 150%;" class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle"><strong style=""><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 150%;">Jim was a longtime active member of the First Christian Church in Anna.<span style=""> </span> He was employed by E.T. Simonds Construction Company for nearly 30 years.<span style=""> </span> He loved stock car racing and had raced stock cars in Illinois, Missouri, and Kentucky.<span style=""> </span> He had won many championships for over 4 decades alongside his son David.<span style=""> </span> Jim was a Studebaker enthusiast; he had collected 3 of his own and loved attending Studebaker car shows.</span></strong></p>
<p style="text-indent: 0.5in; line-height: 150%;" class="MsoNormalCxSpMiddle"><strong style=""><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 150%;">Funeral services for Mr. James Woodrow “Jim” Eaves will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, November 19, 2010 at First Christian Church in Anna with Dee Armes officiating.<span style=""> </span> Friends may call after 5 p.m., Thursday, November 18 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna and after 10:00 a.m. on Friday at the First Christian Church in Anna. <span style=""> </span>Interment will be in the Anna City Cemetery.<span style=""> </span> Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church Mission Fund. <span style=""> </span>Envelopes will be available at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna and at the church.</span></strong></p>
