Jonesboro girls open season

The Jonesboro School junior high girl’s basketball team split to open the season.

Following are game summaries:

Jonesboro 46, Cobden 19: Sarah Coleman had 12 points, 4 assists and 7 steals to lead visiting Jonesboro Monday, Nov. 2.

Katie Edwards had 11 points, 4 assists, 6 steals and 4 blocked shots. Cara Farris had 7 points. Courtney Kendrick had 2 assists  and 5 steals.

Sammi Brimm had 12 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists to lead the Jonesboro junior varsity to a 28-10 win over Cobden.

Ally Reynolds had 6 points and 12 rebounds. Natty Hepburn had 3 steals.

Century 40, Jonesboro 34: Courtney Kendrick had 13 points, 2 assists and 5 steals to lead Jonesboro in the loss Wednesday, Oct. 28.

Sarah Coleman had 7 points, 2 assists, 9 rebounds and 5 steals. Krista Pender had 7 points, 8 rebounds and 2 blocked shots.

Ally Reynolds had 12 points, 22 rebounds and 8 steals to lead the Jonesboro junior varsity to a 24-20 win over Century.

Aliah Delgado had 8  rebounds. Natty Hepburn had 8 steals.

The Jonesboro varsity is 1-1 and the Jonesboro junior varsity 2-0.
