Kelley receives two scholarships

Drew Kelley of Anna is the recipient of two scholarships for the 2009-2010 school year at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.

Kelley, a senior majoring in finance, was selected as a Caterpillar Scholar, which is valued at $1,500.

Additionally, he was chosen to be the beneficiary of the C.L. “Pete” and Margaret Odum Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $900.

The scholarships are awarded to a student who has demonstrated excellence in academics and outstanding leadership in extracurricular activities.

Kelley maintains a 4.0 grade point average as well as currently serving as the vice president of finance for the business fraternity Alpha Kappa Psi, in addition to being a member of the Financial Management Association.

He is completing an internship and is an employee of Old National Bank in Carbondale.

Kelley is the son of Jeff and Janine Kelley of Anna.
