Meisenheimer Stables wins two world grand championships
Meisenheimer Stables of Jonesboro recently returned from The Racking Horse World Celebration, held in Decatur, Ala., with two world grand championship wins.
Lance Meisenheimer, trainer and rider, won the two championships on the same night. The first horse, Illumination, had won the qualifying class earlier in the week in the amateur owned and trained division before being crowned the amateur owned and trained division’s world grand champion.
The second horse, Rambler’s Money Train, had also won the preliminary class earlier in the week and in the same evening as winning the other division; Lance and Bullwinkle won the show pleasure world grand championship.
In addition to Lance, other local riders during the week winning ribbons were Lindsay Meisenheimer Lofton and Landon Lofton. It was the first time for Landon to show at the Celebration, continuing a three-generation family tradition of showing racking horses.
