Moving forward

Voters said yes to plans for development of a new Union County Courthouse in the Feb. 2 primary election.

The yes vote was just one step in a process which will involve careful thought and consideration as the county moves forward with development of a much-needed new courthouse.

By approving a tax referendum to help fund the project, voters put their trust in county officials who will be overseeing this project. These officials now have a special responsibility to ensure that the task is done well.

We look forward to watching the courthouse project as it continues, and we also look forward to the day when the new facility opens.
