Alto Pass veterans ceremony set
The Alto Pass Area Veterans Memorial Organization plans to have a ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 3.
The ceremony is set for 11 a.m. at the veterans memorial which is located in downtown Alto Pass.
The ceremony will be held to honor the memory of area veterans, including those whose names have been engraved recently on the memorial.
The dedication will include Johnnie A. DeHart, Donald Elbert Lyerla, Forrest Ray Meadows, Norman “Jay” Elkins, Clifford E. “Bud” Braden, Everett “Bud” Hawk, Glenn Earl Hartsock and Bobby Neighbors.
Light refreshments will be served in the community center in downtown Alto Pass.
The Alto Pass Area Veterans Memorial organization is responsible for creating and maintaining the memorial in the Union County village.
The memorial honors U.S. veterans who have died and are from the Alto Pass area.
