Cold temperatures and windy weather expected for Halloween evening

The National Weather Service has released a statement warning of cold and windy weather for Halloween this year.

A winter chill will be headed into the region on Thursday, as some of the coldest wind chill values of the season are expected during the afternoon and evening hours.

Temperatures will fall from lower 40s during the afternoon into the upper 20s by late evening.

Gusty winds of up to 25 to 30 mph are also expected.

Wind chill temperatures will fall into the middle to upper 20s during the late afternoon and evening.

Those out trick-or-treating should be prepared for winter-like temperatures and high winds.
