'No Strings Attached' event set at Anna church

“No Strings Attached” is the theme for a special upcoming event at a Union County church.

The non-profit event is planned Sunday, June 25, at the First Christian Church in Anna and is designed to help meet the needs of the community. 

Free services and giveaways are planned at the church, which is located at 200 Mallard Ln. in east Anna.

The schedule for the event follows:

8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., registration and breakfast.

9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., special church service.

10:45 a.m. to 3 p.m., “No Strings Attached” event.

Noon to 1 p.m., lunch.

The services and giveaways will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

“No Strings Attached” will offer a free lunch, children’s hair cuts, face painting, an obstacle course, gently used items (such as furniture, small appliances and clothing), medical check-ups, screenings, oil changes (one per household), handyman work, financial advice and Prayer Warriors. 

A nursery will be provided for children up to the age of 2.
