Olmsted plans to host Christmas in Village
A Christmas in the Village celebration is planned Saturday, Dec. 8, in Olmsted.
Registration is being accepted for floats for an Olmsted Christmas in the Village Light Parade.
The parade is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. Floats will start lining up at 6 p.m.
Floats, carts, ATVs, wagons and horses which are entered in the parade must be lighted.
For safety reasons, organizers ask that no candy be thrown from parade units.

Christmas in the Village is scheduled to start at 5 p.m.
A lighting of the caboose is planned. Christmas music will be presented by local choirs.
Santa is scheduled to be at the depot, where children can have their pictures taken with him.
A balloon artist will be making free balloon creations for children.
“The Night Before Christmas” will be read around a Christmas tree in the depot.
Complimentary soup and chili will be served at Lynda’s Diner. Hot cocoa and cookies will be served at city hall.
