Pumpkin Town has new home at Anna City Park
The popular Pumpkin Town display in Anna is set to have a new home this year.
Pumpkin Town is scheduled to be at the Anna City Park this year.
Since its inception, Pumpkin Town has been displayed on the grounds of the Choate Mental Health and Developmental Center in Anna.
The ongoing coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic has led to the creation of a new home for Pumpkin Town this year.
The theme for the 2020 display is “Superheroes.”
Set up for the drive-thru event is planned Oct. 19-22.
A ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the opening of Pumpkin Town is set for 5:30 p.m. on Oct. 22. Pumpkin Town is scheduled to be on display Oct. 22-31.
Breakdown and removal of displays will be Sunday, Nov. 1, by 3 p.m.
No categories or divisions are planned. This is an open opportunity for anyone who wishes to participate and create a display in the 20 by 20 space assigned.
Those who want to be a part of Pumpkin Town were asked to register their plans by Wednesday, Oct. 14, with the Southernmost Illinois Tourism Bureau.
The Anna-Jonesboro Rotary Club is helping to bring Pumpkin Town to the community this year.
