Tamms plans to host July 4th celebration
An annual Independence Day celebration is planned Tuesday, July 4, in Tamms. The event will be at the Tamms Community Park.
The celebration is sponsored by the Tamms Volunteer Fire Department. Activities are planned throughout the day and into the night.
A car, truck and motorcycle show is scheduled to begin with registration from 10 a.m. to noon. The show is an open entry event, with all vehicles welcomed.
Judging for the show begins at 3 p.m. Awards will be presented at 5 p.m.
The celebration also will feature gospel music, a bounce house, a dunking booth, a duck pond, games for the kids, door prizes, barbeque, fish and burgers.
Entertainment featuring Beak & Co. is planned from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. A fireworks display is planned at 10 p.m.
Vendors Sought
The Tamms Volunteer Fire Department is seeking vendors for an upcoming July 4 Independence Day celebration.
Craft items will be accepted, but not food or drink vendors. Alcohol is prohibited.
Exhibitor set up is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. on July 4.
