Union County CEO program kicks off school year
Union County’s CEO (Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities) program kicked off the 2017-2018 school year on July 18 with summer orientation. The orientation event was hosted by Anna-Jonesboro National Bank at its facility on Leigh Avenue in Anna, with students, parents, the program’s facilitator and several board members attending.
Kathy Bryan, owner of Kiki’s CoffeeHouse in Anna, was introduced as the new facilitator for the program. She succeeds Evelyn Bailey in the post. Bailey has retired from the position.
The new students introduced themselves as the 2018 Union County CEO team: Connor Allen of Cobden High School, Zoe Furhop of Cobden High School, Cheyenne Thorn of Shawnee Hills Christian Academy in Anna, Grace Schroeder of Cobden High School, Bryce Osman of Anna-Jonesboro Community High School, Alejandra Lopez of Cobden High School, John Russell of Cobden High School, Megan Rhine of A-JCHS, Grace Pitts of Cobden High School and Alex Rogers of A-JCHS.
The CEO program voiced a “big “thank you” to Anna-Jonesboro National Bank, and Nina Lofton and Stephanie Cox for hosting this event this year.” Cox presented messenger bags to each of the students with the Anna-Jonesboro National Bank and CEO program logos on them for the students to use throughout the year.
