Nicole Renee “Nikki” Charles

Nicole Renee “Nikki” Charles, 37, of Carbondale, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2011 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Jackson County, IL.

She was a member of the Church of Christ in Herrin.

Nikki was born November 7, 1974 in Cape Girardeau, MO to Rodney Eugene Lingle and Beverly Kay (Norville) Lingle Trexler.

Surviving are, mother and step-father, Beverly and James Trexler of Energy; father and step-mother, Rodney E. and Nickie Lingle of Anna; three sons, Dillon James Fisher, Nicholas Alexander Cole and Logan Parker Cole, all of Energy; grandmother, Betty Norville of Herrin; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Amy and Rodney Cash of Murphysboro, Jennifer Lingle and Robert Velasques of Jonesboro; two step-sisters, Brandy (Charles) Stubblefield of Jonesboro, Scarlet (Darrian) Godwin of Carterville; step-brother, Caleb (Maribeth) Trexler of Energy; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a very close friend, Richard Suddeth of Carbondale.

She was preceded by her daughter, Madison Jade Stone, grandparents, John James Norville, Willard Earl and Hazel Harvina Lingle.

Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at Alto Pass Cemetery in Alto Pass, IL with Mr. David Schwartz and Scott Cody officiating. Family and friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery on Wednesday. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Meredith-Waddell Funeral Home, 2704 South Park Avenue, Herrin, IL 62948.
