Never too late to say thanks

To the editor,

Regarding the future of the Anna, Ill., Veteran’s Home:

It is never too late to say thanks, and one way we can do that is to support the Anna Veteran’s Home.

These veterans did a great service towards us and our great country. Now is the time for us to show our appreciation for their service and sacrifice.

I have had the honor of visiting the veterans home and was very impressed with the staff and the family atmosphere these veterans have for one another.

Our goal should be to preserve the veteran’s home and to give these precious veterans a worry free environment and atmosphere. They should not at this time in their lives be worried or concerned as to what will happen to them or where they will go.

As for the state funding, there are a lot of programs that are not as needful as this program is. We all know of programs that are considered pork. It is time for our senators to do something for the people that served them and the great U.S.A.

They served us, now let us serve them.
