Laymen's breakfast set in Anna

The 84th interdenomi-national laymen's breakfast is planned Monday, Nov. 22, in Anna.

The breakfast will be at 7 a.m. at the Sunshine Inn Community Center.

A laymen's breakfast is held twice each year: on the Monday before Thanksgiving and on the Monday before Easter.

The breakfast brings together laymen from churches throughout the Union County area.

Participants in Monday's program and the churches they represent include:

Welcome: Larry Carter, St. Mary's Catholic Church, Anna.

Invocation: Jerry Hunter, First Baptist Church of Jonesboro.

Scripture reading: Tyler Edmonds, First Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Anna.

Prayer: Tim Denny, First Christian Church, Anna.

Special music: New Hope Quartet, First Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Anna.

Meditation: Jeff Farris, Olive Branch Methodist Church.

Benediction: Richard Day, First Baptist Church, Anna.

Wes Wilkins from the First Baptist Church in Cobden will be the song leader.

The pianist will be Greg Randles from the Wolf Lake Methodist Church.

Louis Lica will prepare the breakfast.

Greeters will be Bobby Toler Jr. and Jonathan Plemon.

A floral centerpiece will be from From the Hearts Flowers & Gifts in Jonesboro.

A committee of local laymen plans the breakfast. Committee members are Bobby Toler Jr., Jerry L. Reppert, Bobby Myers, Greg George, Richard Day, Larry Miles, Don Denny, Jonathan Plemon, Larry Vaughn and Kenny Swink.
