Arts center announces school exhibit winners
<p class="p1">The Anna Arts Center in Anna hosted its fourth annual Union County high school and junior high school art exhibit during November.</p><p class="p1">The Shawnee Hills Arts Council/Anna Arts Center sponsored the exhibit. The exhibit featured nearly 100 works of art. </p><p class="p1">The sponsors announced the names of student artists who received awards as part of the exhibit.</p><p class="p1">The high school award winners included, by category, as provided by the arts center:</p><p class="p1">Drawing: Sophie Shaffar, first place and third place. Maria Zamora, second place. Honorable mention awards were presented to Kashe Mouser, Hannah Stark and Hannah Fuller.</p><p class="p1">Mixed media: Carmen Olandez, first place. Andrea Bresia, second place and third place.</p><p class="p1">Photography: Kristin Goins, first place.</p><p class="p1">Painting: Kennidy Swanson, first place.</p><p class="p1">Fine craft: Destiny Hale, first place and second place. Carmen Olandez, third place. Evan Smoot received an honorable mention award.</p><p class="p1">The junior high school award winners included, by category, as provided by the arts center:</p><p class="p1">Mixed media: Giulianna R., first place and third place. Tobie Treece, second place.</p><p class="p1">Drawing: Jordon Lyeria, first place. Kimberly Hancock, second place. Apple in Hand, third place. Honorable mention awards were presented to Avigail Amezquita, Ben Phillippe and Kailee Daniels.</p><p class="p1">Painting: Lilia Carmona, first place. Morgan Keller, second place. Avigail Amezquita, third place. Molly Smith received an honorable mention award.</p>
