Lincoln program scheduled

Area residents are invited to learn more about Abraham Lincoln and Southern Illinois at a program which is planned Saturday, Nov. 14, in Anna.
The program is set for 1 p.m. at Stinson Memorial Library at 409 S. Main St.
"A House Divided: Abraham Lincoln and Southern Illinois" will be presented by Dr. Samuel P. Wheeler.
Wheeler is a lecturer at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
His research, writing and speaking interests include the life of Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War era.
Following the program, those present will have an opportunity to visit the nearby St. Anne's Church to see a traveling exhibit from the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield.
