Stage Company set to hold auditions

<p class="p1"><span class="s1">The Stage Company in association with the Southern Illinoisan announces open auditions for 'Arsenic and Old Lace' by Joseph Kesselring and directed by Cathy Field.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Auditions are Oct. 19 and 20, at 7 p.m. and will be held at the The Varsity Center for the Arts located at 418 S. Illinois Avenue in Carbondale.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">The show runs on Dec. 4-6 and 11-13.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Roles available are for 11 men and 3 women, ages 20s-60s.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">No preparation is necessary. Script is available at the Carbondale Public Library. </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">For more information go to www.stagecompany.org or contact stagecompanycarbondale@gmail.com.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>About The Play</strong></span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">Abby and Martha Brewster are a pair of charming spinster sisters who have a unique problem as landladies; while they seem to have a plethora of prospective boarders, the turnover rate seems rather high as none of their tenants appear to stick around for very long...nor do they ever leave.  </span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1">When delightfully and endearingly cold clash with unwitting innocence, anything can happen in the cellar of this pair of sweet old darlings.</span></p>
