Ronald Lee Keller
Ronald Lee Keller, 66, of Belleville, and formerly of Union County, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2023, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born on Oct. 8, 1957, in Anna, the son of Billy Ray and Doris Dunaway Keller.
He married Suzanne Bailey on June 4, 2005, in Germantown.
He is survived by his wife, Suzanne Keller of Belleville; his mother, Doris Keller of Anna; children Nick Keller of Belleville, Megan (Caleb) Crabtree of Anna, Julia Lawson of Salem, John Bailey and Bryan Bailey, both of Centralia; 13 grandchildren; brothers Larry Joe (Melody) Keller of Jonesboro and Steven (Gian) Keller of Choctaw, Okla.; many nieces and nephews; his beloved dog, Copa; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Ray Keller.
Mr. Keller served in the U.S. Air Force from 1976 until his retirement in 2002 as a master sergeant. Over the course of his career with the Air Force he was stationed in various locations, both in the states and overseas. His focus was on communications programing, as well as computer system planning and implementation.
In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, walking with Copa and just being outdoors. He loved playing and spending time with all of his grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until noon Friday, Dec. 15, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.
Interment will be in Mound City National Cemetery in Mound City at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15. Graveside military rites will be conducted by the Scott Air Force Base military honor team and local area veterans.
