Vernon O. ‘Big’ Henderson

Vernon O. “Big” Henderson, 66, of Olive Branch, died Saturday, April 13, 2024, at his home.

Mr. Henderson was born on March 22, 1958, in Los Angeles, Calif., the son of Barney and Audrey Marie Via Henderson Jr.  He married Lois Sams. 

Mr. Henderson was a laborer. He liked to ride around and play pool and spend time with his family and friends. He loved his children and granddaughter.

Survivors include his wife, Lois Henderson; sons Bobby (Jamie) Henderson and Greyson Henderson; daughter Tracy (Charles) Johnson; siblings Glenn Henderson, Beverly (Jerry) Held, Ellen (Dickie) Barnes, Clinton (Christal) Henderson and Adam (Meghan) Henderson; and granddaughter Morgan Henderson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; maternal and paternal grandparents; sisters Elizabeth and Irene; a brother, Rodney; step-mother Marie; a nephew, Matthew; and a niece, Brandy.

Graveside services were at 10 a.m. Monday, April 22, at the Olive Branch Cemetery in Olive Branch.

Crain Funeral Home in Tamms was in charge of funeral arrangements.
