Bruce Edward Kelle
Bruce Edward Kelle was born on January 14, 1950, in Crawfordsville, Ind., to William F. Kelle and Kathryn Manhart Kelle.
He passed away on Feb. 1, 2025, at Warren-Barr of Buffalo Grove in Buffalo Grove, Ill., at the age of 75.
Bruce graduated from Anna-Jonesboro High School in Ann with the Class of 1968. He then attended St. Louis College of Pharmacy in St. Louis, earning his degree in 1973. During his time there, he was a member of the Kappa Psi fraternity.
Bruce dedicated his career to pharmacy, working as a retail pharmacist and owning Landmark Pharmacy in Woodstock, Ill., from 1979 to 1989. He later worked for larger chain pharmacies for the remainder of his career.
Beyond his profession, he had a passion for building and renovating houses, along with an entrepreneurial spirit that led him to pursue various small business ventures.
Throughout his life, Bruce lived in several towns across Illinois, forming lasting friendships along the way. He had a deep love for photography, skiing, Ford Mustangs and reconnecting with old friends.
In his later years, he especially enjoyed celebrating with his five grandchildren, attending family gatherings, and dining out. His grandchildren fondly remember his love of chocolate, diet sodas, and fast food.
Bruce spent his final years in Gurnee and Buffalo Grove, Ill. He was of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by his children: Angela (Rob Lundin) Kelle of Minnetonka, Minn.; Suzanne (Greg) Lindsay of Deer Park, Ill.; Brad (Amy Reynolds) Kelle of Connecticut; and Jamie Dunn of Las Vegas, Nev. He is also survived by his five grandchildren: Julianne and Caroline Lindsay, Vivienne and Joe Lundin, and Braden Kelle; his sister, Kathy (Jim) Madison of Hayti, Mo.; his niece, Amy (Lucas) Branson, and great-nephew, Will Branson, of Jefferson City, Mo. He is also survived by his former spouse, Joanne Treadwell of Wauconda, Ill.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, his niece, Ashley Rogers, and his infant granddaughter, Ruth Kelle Lindsay.
A graveside ceremony will be held with family and friends on Monday, April 14, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Anna City Cemetery, 608 E Davie St in Anna.
