Jesse Raymond Ledbetter

Jesse Raymond Ledbetter, 87, of Ullin, Ill. passed away at 8:47 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025, at Deaconess Illinois Union County Hospital in Anna, Ill.  

Jesse was born Nov. 3, 1938, in Ullin, Ill., son to the late Milo A. and Ruth A. (Odle) Ledbetter.

He served in the Army National Guard, was a member of the Local Union 318 for 66 years and was a member of Wetaug Church of Christ. 

Jesse served 16 years as a trustee for the Village of Ullin. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Martha C. Ledbetter on March 28, 2022; and brothers, Kenny and James Ledbetter.

He is survived by his wife, Donna (Miller) Ledbetter; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Donna Ledbetter; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Billy White; grandchildren, Jessica Grace, Tyler Ledbetter, Keith Bigham and Ashley Misner; nine great grandchildren; sisters, LaVerne Schlamer and Phyllis Sanchez; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025 at the Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge. Rev. Brent Miller officiated. Interment followed in Ullin Cemetery in Ullin, Ill. Military honors were given by the Illinois National Guard Burial Team.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorials to Wetaug Church of Christ in memory of Jesse Ledbetter.
