Patricia Ann Butts

Patricia Ann Butts, age 84, of Cairo, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026 at Integrity Healthcare in Anna, Ill.

She was born on Jan. 11, 1942 to Dan and Hazel Linder in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Patricia was a graduate of Granite City High School and worked for several years at the Social Security office in Cairo, Ill. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Baseball fan. Patricia was of Baptist faith.

Survivors include her daughter, Audrey Butts; siblings, Bryan Davis, Ralph Clutts, and one other sister; nephew, Michael Clay; sister-in-law, Julie Davis; nieces, Stephanie Cotton and Christina Winkley; nephew, Keith Davis; niece-in-law, Kayla Valentine; one grandnephew and several grandnieces.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy Oakes.

A Visitation was held on Monday, Feb. 16 at Crain Funeral Home in Cairo.

Inurnment will be held on Thursday Feb. 19 at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery in Wetaug, Ill. Friends are asked to gather at cemetery.

The cremation of Patricia Ann Butts will be personally handled by the staff of Crain Funeral Home.

Crain Funeral Home in Cairo is in charge of arrangements.
