‘AJ’ Andrew James Boomer
“AJ” Andrew James Boomer, 35, of Picayune, Miss., and formerly of Anna, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018, at home in Picayune, Miss.
AJ was born on Sept. 24, 1983, in Jacksonville, Fla., the son of Mark Timothy and Andrea Clare Aguis Boomer.
He worked as a fire specialist for a fire prevention company.
He was an avid sports fan, and especially enthusiastic about Duke basketball and New York Giants football. He also loved to play golf and loved his boxer dogs.
He is survived by his parents, Mark and Andrea Boomer of Anna; siblings Nicole (George) Derossett of Wolf Lake, Chris Boomer (Nickie Hagler) of Carterville, Meaghan Boomer of Anna, Alison (Ryan) Riffel of Carterville and Zachary (Jakki) Boomer, presently stationed in England; nieces and nephews Michael and Autumn Derossett of Wolf Lake, Madisson and Oliva Boomer of Carterville, Molly Ballard of Anna and Benjamin Boomer of Thetford, U.K.; his grandmother, Ruby (Gene) Mish of DeKalb; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A funeral gathering will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, today, at Crain Funeral Home in Anna-Jonesboro, with sharing of memories by family and friends. Cremation will follow.
Visitation will from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Thursday, today, at the funeral home.
Memorials can be made to the family to help with funeral expenses and envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
