Alice Faye Mayberry

Alice Faye Mayberry, 80, of Anna, died at 6:38 a.m. Thursday, April 19, 2018, at Manor Court in Carbondale.  

She was born on Nov. 6, 1937, in Ullin, the daughter of Arthur and Cretie Hiatt Schlichting.  

She married Curtis Mayberry Sr. on Sept. 25, 1965, in Ullin. He preceded her in death on Nov. 18, 1996.     

She is survived by her dear friend, Tinna Abbott of Anna and her family, Monica Dunbar, Jaryn Dunbar and Marlee Dunbar; four sisters, Mary Edwards of Anna, Betty Simmons of Marion, Sandra Schlichting of Jonesboro and Bonnie Wright of Anna; a step-grandchild, Danisha Ward; three step-great-grandchildren, Trenton and Collin Ward and Gracie Beussink; a daughter-in-law, Terry Mayberry; the Allen family and Sandy Bush, who were her neighbors; caregiver Amanda Krummrich; other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Curtis Mayberry Sr.; and by a son, Curtis Mayberry Jr.      

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Anna.      

Funeral services for Alice Faye Mayberry will be at 1 p.m. Friday, April 27, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home of Anna, with Pastor Tim Weiser officiating.  Interment will be in the Anna Cemetery.  

Friends can call after 11 a.m. and until the service hour at 1 p.m. Friday, April 27, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna.

Memorials can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Anna.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
