Alma M. Robertson
Alma M. Robertson, 92, of Cairo, died peacefully at 6:20 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2023, while surrounded by family at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born on April 5, 1930, in Charleston, Mo., the daughter of Walter and Armintha Golightly Smith.
She was a trusted pharmacist’s assistant at numerous drug stores in the area, as well as a respected associate at her son and daughter-in-law’s Amoco convenience store in North Cairo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; seven brothers and sisters; and one grandson, Eric Schnarre.
She is survived by one sister, Ruth Hall and niece Janice of Gallatin, Tenn.; a son, Mike and wife Martha (Jones) Henckell; a daughter, Victoria (Henckell) and husband Bruce Sauerbrunn; a daughter, Jo (Henckell) and husband Kevin McNulty; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Friends can call Wednesday, April 5 (Alma’s birthday), from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge.
