Barbara Morrison
Barbara Morrison, 88, of Anna, died Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at Union County Hospital in Anna.
She was born on Oct. 17, 1935, in Alto Pass, the daughter of Ernie and Gussie McKinny Dehart.
She married Glenn Morrison on Jan. 8, 1969, in San Diego, Calif. He preceded her in death on Sept. 16, 2009.
Mrs. Morrison is survived by her children, Glenn Allan and wife Jennifer Morrison of Canonsburg, Pa., and Charlotte Ann and husband Danny Hartline of Cobden; daughter-in-law Julie Dean of Cobden; six grandchildren, Beau and wife Holly Hartline, Danielle and husband Joe Hartline, Khyle and wife Jessica Dean, Kristal Dean, Glenn Morrison III and Irena Morrison; five great-grandchildren, Drake Hartline, Aiden Bass, Logan Dean, Aria Brigham and Adaley Dean; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glenn Morrison; a son, Lawrence Michael Dean; three sisters, Mable Dean, Myrtle Alsip and Ruth Shadowens; and five brothers, Donald, Wesley, Buddy, Floyd Ray and Paul William Dehart.
She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Cobden. Early in her working career, she was a waitress at the White House Coffee Shop in Anna and at Flamm’s Café. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed watching her stories.
Funeral services were at noon Saturday, May 11, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden, with Dr. Ed Falgout officiating. Interment was in the Alto Pass Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the First Baptist Church in Cobden.
