Betty Idele Crain

Betty Idele Crain, age 96 of Freeburg, formerly of Union County, passed away Thursday, Oct. 2, 2025 in Freeburg. 

She was born on Aug. 25, 1929 in Detroit, Mich., the daughter of Bonny Bollinger and Joda (Kelso) Landers. 

She married Loy Casper. He preceded her in death on Feb. 16, 1972.

Betty is survived by her children, Cindy Wenger and Bonny Rotman, 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 13 great great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Neil Casper, daughter, Mary Ann Jones, sister, Mary Boyd and brother, Eugene Bollinger.

Betty was a member of Anna Heights Baptist Church. She loved flowers and enjoyed quilting, crocheting and making ceramics. 

She worked at Fellowship House in Anna before her retirement. Betty never met a stranger. She will be missed.

Graveside funeral services for Betty Crain were held on Friday, Oct. 10 at the Jonesboro Cemetery with Pastor Darryl Williams officiating.  

Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna is in charge of arrangements.
