Billy Joe Thomas

Billy Joe Thomas, 41, of Dongola, died July 30, 2022, at his residence.

He was born on April 28, 1981, in New Port, Ark., the son of Charles and Patsy Whitehead Thomas.

He married Eugenia Hinkle on Sept. 9, 2000. She survives.

Mr. Thomas worked for six years as a truck driver for Aldrich Trucking. He loved to mow his yard, fishing and going camping. 

Survivors include his wife, Eugenia; sons Billy Joe Thomas Jr. and Joseph Charles Thomas; daughter Catherine Jewel Thomas; grandson Jaxson Charles Thomas; brother Charles (Tracey) Thomas Jr.; sisters Sandra (Darrell) Adams, Lisa Lilly and Sherrie Thomas; his father and mother-in-law, Lonnie (Jolene) Hinkle; a sister-in-law, Rebecca (Ricky) Bracken; a brother-in-law, Timothy (Marc Epstein) Hinkle; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert Thomas; a sister, Sandy Thomas; and two brothers-in-law, Carl Hite and Edward Lilly. 

Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 5, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Crain Funeral Home in Dongola. 

A graveside service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Hinkle Cemetery, with Darrell Adams officiating. 

Memorials can be made to Crain Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses. Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
