Blanche Wright
Blanche Wright, 89, of Anna, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2018, at her home.
She was born on Aug. 7, 1929, in Vienna, the daughter of George W. and Nellie Howard Morgan Mathis.
She married Everett Earl Wright on Sept. 27, 1946, in Jonesboro. He preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 1985.
She is survived by her son, Everett Wayne “Junior” (Vickie) Wright of Spokane, Wash.; nine grandchildren, Angela, Shannon, Melissa, Michel (Shelly) Wright, Crystal (Bumper) Gurley, Susan Pearl, Sasha (Eric) Walls, Halie (Tanner) Starling and Harris Wright; great-grandchildren Dawson Pearl and Marcus English, Noah, Ashlynn, Johannah, and Josiah Walls, Jermiah Starling, Drew Gurley, JR Wright and many more great-grandchildren; her buddy, Jim “Grandpa” Wright of Ware; other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Everett Earl Wright; a son, Rodney Eugene Wright; a daughter, Darla Sue Wright; two brothers, Mark Mathis and Jones Douglas Mathis; and one sister, Norma Jean Mathis.
She worked at the Choate Mental Health and Developmental Center in Anna for over 27 years as a mental health technician. She was an avid bingo player. She dearly loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren.
Memorial services for Blanche Wright were at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro, with the Rev. John Warren officiating. Memorials can be made to the funeral home.
