Bobbie J. Mensing
Bobbie J. Mensing, 45, of West Plains, Mo., and formerly of Olive Branch, died at 1:12 a.m. Thursday, June 17, 2021, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born on Aug. 13, 1975, in Granite City, Illinois, the daughter of Bob and Loretta Shelton Burns.
She married James Mensing on June 14, 2003. They have since been separated.
She enjoyed traveling, her cats, family and participating in Relay for Life, which she did for many years. She was a past member of the Horseshoe Lake Chamber of Commerce, which she served as treasurer.
She was employed at Southern Bank in Cape Girardeau before transferring to the bank’s West Plains, Mo., branch. She also worked at Walmart in Cape Girardeau for many years.
She is survived by her siblings, Wendy (Tommy) Vaughn of Olive Branch, James (Maggie) Burns of Columbia, Amanda Roy of Portree, Scotland, Sheila (Roger) Terbrak of Metropolis, Paul (Roberta) Wood of Topeka, Kan., and Tony (Geronda) Wood of Dongola; her significant other, John Brown of West Plains, Mo.; and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cremation was accorded. Graveside services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, July 10, at the Olive Branch Cemetery in Olive Branch, with the Rev. Alfred Willowhawk officiating. Inurnment will follow.
Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
