Carolyn Childs

Carolyn Childs, 60, of Cape Girardeau, and formerly of rural Karnak, died at 5:33 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral services were at noon Friday, May 19, at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home in Metropolis, with Pastor Frank Forthman Jr. officiating. Burial followed in the Anderson Cemetery.

She attended the Frist General Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include her husband, Jerald Long; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James N. and Sharon M. Ross Harber; her first husband, Franklin Childs; grandparents Elmer and Margie Ross and Jacob and Mamie Harber; and brothers Jimmy Harber and Larry Harber.
