Charles Fears Morgan Jr.
Charles Fears Morgan Jr., 82, of Anna, died Friday, Nov. 6, 2020, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born on Aug. 28, 1938, in Cape Girardeau, the son of Charles Fears Sr. and Ava Ivason Wright Morgan.
He married Ellen White on Oct. 9, 1965. Together they shared 55 years of marriage.
Mr. Morgan is is survived by his wife, Ellen Morgan of Anna; daughter Krista Lynn Morgan of Carbondale; son Alex Bradley Morgan of Anna; four grandchildren, Matthew Ryan (Miranda) Morgan, Emily (David) Kern, Erica Morgan and Anthony Morgan; five great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law John Monroe (Sue) White of Buncombe, Donald Lee (Carol) White of Florida and Thomas (Joann) White of Anna; sister-in-law Barbara Ann (Wally) Butler of Murphysboro; his mother-in-law, Audra May White of Anna; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and by a sister-in-law, Betty Jean White.
Mr. Morgan owned and operated Advanced Realty, where he worked as a realtor for nearly 30 years until his retirement.
He was a true Renaissance man, he could fix anything, and was known as MacGyver to his family. He was a loving and considerate person who practiced all the Christian virtues.
Visitation was from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Interment followed in the Anna Cemetery.
