Cheryl Lynn Rion

Cheryl Lynn Rion, age 70, of Anna, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2026 at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.

She was born Feb. 1, 1956 to Donald Rion and Dorothy (Dalton) Rion in Anna, Ill.

Cheryl had worked as a Care Worker in CILA homes and worked at the Anna VFW as a bartender. She loved watching baseball, especially the Cardinals, and enjoy doing some gardening.

Survivors include her sons, Rion Scott (Shannon) Thompson and Austyn Wayne Brazell; grandchildren, Brian and Benjamin; along with two brothers, Lonnie Rion and Doug Rion.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

No services will be held at this time.

The cremation of Cheryl Lynn Rion will be personally handled by the staff of Crain Funeral Home.

Crain Funeral Home in Anna, Ill. is in charge of arrangements.
