Craig Lamburth
Craig Lamburth, 58, of Cape Girardeau, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021, at his residence.
He was born on June 20, 1963, in Cape Girardeau, the son of Billy Vaughn and Patricia (Diggs).
He attended Egyptian High School in Tamms, where he was a star athlete on the baseball and basketball teams that won the state championship.
He owned and operated River City Cleaning for over 30 years, where he enjoyed working alongside his brothers, daughters and grandchildren.
In his free time, he enjoyed watching sports, playing blackjack and just spending time with his family.
Survivors include his daughters, Jamie Lamburth and Ashley (Justin) Williamson; four grandchildren, Brionna Lamburth, Jaylen Carter, Danielle Carter and Byron Carter; two great-grandchildren, Marshawn Patterson and Nevaeh Carter; his mother and stepfather, Pat and Larry Lamburth; his father, Billy Vaughn; brothers Bryan Lamburth (Rebecca Scott) and Gene (Dena) Vaughn; a sister, Terry Vaughn; nephews Tyler Vaughn and Mark Vaughn; and an aunt, Shirley Diggs.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Brent.
Visitation for Craig Lamburth will be from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Dec. 27, at Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. Services will follow at noon, with the Rev. Doug Atkins officiating. Interment will follow at Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge.
