Debbie Sue Newberry

Debbie Sue Newberry, 62, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her family. 

She was born on Jan. 13, 1961, in Corbin, Ky., the daughter of Lonzo and Martha Cooper Mills. 

She married Bobby Newberry on July 8, 1986, in Paducah.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby Newberry; two sons, Zachary Ross (Maggie) Newberry and Hayden (Aimee) Newberry; two grandchildren, Lillian Sue and Gracelynn Jo, all of Jonesboro; her father, Lonzo Mills of Hamilton, Ohio; her mother, Martha Williams of Paducah; three brothers, JR (Bonnie) Mills of Middleton, Ohio, Lonnie (Aimee) Mills of Hamilton, Ohio, and Matt (Shannon) Mills of Hamilton, Ohio; other relatives and many friends. 

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Leroy Williams; and maternal grandparents, Edison and Virginia Cooper.

 For many years, she cared for children in her home daycare, she loved watching them grow up over the years having families of their own which she cared for as well. She also worked for Anna-Jonesboro National Bank as an account representative for 10 years.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Friday, April 28, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro, with Pastor Bobby Richardson officiating. Interment was in the Jonesboro Cemetery. 

Memorials can be made to a college fund for her grandchildren.
