Don C. Swink

Don C. Swink, 79, of Dongola, died at 12:16 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016, at his home.

He was born on Nov. 25, 1936, in Union County, the son of Boyd and Gertrude Westbrook Swink.

He married Betty Sims on Dec. 20, 1953, in Jackson, Mo.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Swink of Dongola; children Donna (Billy) Williams of Anna, Michael Swink of Dongola and Debbie Holcomb of Dongola; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one sister, Janet Hawk of Anna; and two brothers, Bon Swink of Elgin and Kenneth Swink of Anna; many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; and two sons, Donnie Ray and Tommy.

He worked many years as a plumber, and in his spare time fixing up old cars. He dearly loved his family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Swink were at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Jonesboro, with the Rev. Mickey Williams officiating. Interment was in the Anna City Cemetery.
