Donna Lippert

Donna Lippert, 78, of Karnak, died at 2:39 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at the Metropolis Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Metropolis.

She was born on Oct. 14, 1944, in Metropolis. She was a 1962 graduate of Karnak High School. After graduating from high school, she received her cosmetology degree and owned her own shop in Karnak. 

Donna and Raymond Lippert were united in marriage in 1966. 

She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Karnak. She worked in the church food pantry and was also the church secretary. She was an excellent cook and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond Lippert; son Shannon (Brenda) Lippert of Danville; granddaughter Elyse (Michael) Brown of Danville; step-granddaughter Mia Hilton-Goulding of Danville; great-grandsons Jett and Nash Brown of Danville; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Evelyn Sanders Bishop.

Funeral services honoring the life of Donna Lippert will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 22, at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak. The Rev. Dean West to officiate. Interment will follow in Anderson Cemetery near Boaz.

Pallbearers were Alan Barnett, John Krainock, Mark Krainock, Robin Hinton, Danny Carter and Garrett Wilson.
