Doris Jean Williams Waterfield

Doris Jean Williams Waterfield, of Falmouth, Mass., and formerly of Cairo, was called home on April 7, 2023, at the Falmouth Hospital at the age of 90. 

She was the loving wife of Eugene Waterfield for 73 years.

She  retired from Falmouth Hospital after 20 years in various positions which enabled her to spend more time with family. 

She loved holidays which brought her great joy. She enjoyed baking with the grandchildren, crocheting, and word search puzzles.

She was the mother of five children. She was preceded in death by her eldest son, Tarysh Waterfield. 

In addition to her husband Eugene, she is survived by sons Philip (Nancy) Waterfield, Carlos (Elizabeth) Waterfield; and daughters Ulra (Kenneth) Richmond, and Audrey Waterfield. 

She is also survived by grandchildren Tara Long, Colby Waterfield, Justin Waterfield, Lindsey Richmond, Sarah Waterfield and Kevin Richmond; great-grandchildren Donald Frye Jr., Mariah Frye, Jayden Long, Janae Linares, Alivia Fontes, Greyson Bianco and Aubrie Bianco; and great-great grandchildren Kyleigha Fay and La’Niyah Tillman.

A funeral Mass will take place Tuesday, April 25, at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Church, 167 E. Falmouth Highway, East Falmouth, Mass. Burial will follow at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
