Doris L. Bullock

Doris L. Bullock, 85, of Anna, died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2018, at Integrity Healthcare of Anna.  

She was born on Dec. 31, 1932, in Thebes, the daughter of Houston and Wanda Abernathie Burns. 

She is survived by her son, Clifford Mahan of St. George, Kan.; two grandchildren, Sandra L. (Tom) Mauch of Lindsborg, Kan., and Lance E. (Amy) Mahan of Manhattan, Kan.; two great-grandchildren, James M. Mauch and Jackson W. Mauch; siblings Samuel (Marge) Burns of Chicago, Marshall Burns of Dongola, Fannie Campbell of Joliet, Carita Miller of Joliet and Jerre Dover of Lancaster, Ohio; many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; one great-grandson, Jacob Mauch; a daughter-in-law, Betty Mahan; five brothers, Houston Burns Jr., William Burns, Buster Burns, Roy Burns and Jimmie Burns; and one sister, Virginia Burns McIntire.

She was a member of the Anna First Baptist Church.  She dearly loved her church family and taught Sunday School for many years.  She worked as a floor manager at Super X Drug and Kroger in Anna until her retirement.
